Audio Assault Dominator v1.2 WIN OSX
Size Win 153 Mb // OSX 114 Mb

Dominator is part of our amplifier series, each of which brings a full guitar rig into one easy to use plugin! Dominator delivers a range of tones inspired by a legendary high gain amp that is praised by guitarists of many genres! Combined with a flexible pedal board and effects loop, as well as our Virtual Cabinet with optional IR loader, Dominator makes it easy to craft the perfect tone quickly!

Layot
Dominator uses an intuitive layout that mimics the familiar setup of most guitar rigs, making it a breeze to use at all skill levels! The top panel features a noise gate to reduce noise problems, as well as the Stomp, Amp, and Cab sections, followed by a linear output control.

Amp Section
The heart and soul of Dominator is a two channel high gain monster!
Dominator defaults to Channel B, which features parameters for Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Presence.
Channel A is engaged using the “CH.B” button on the left. When the “CH.B” is dark, Channel A is active. When “CH.B” is lit up, Channel B is active.
Channel A features parameters for Gain, Bass, Mid, and Treble.
Channel A’s Gain control can be used to switch between clean and distorted tones.
Turning Channel A’s Gain below a value of 2 engages the Clean circuit.
Turning Channel A’s Gain above a value of 2 engages the Distortion circuit.
Included “ON” switch allows you to bypass the Dominator amp head, allowing you to just use the Stomp or Cab sections if desired.
Each parameter in the Amp section can be automated, allowing for customization and flexibility!

Use headphones to monitor the microphone signals. Select the 'Reference Mic' radio button. Use the volume control of your VST/AU host program to adjust for comfortable sound volume. Then select the 'Target Mic' radio button and use the Microphone EQ's slider to adjust for comfortable sound volume. Bootsy has released quite a number of interesting freeware VST effect plug-ins for Windows, but unfortunately he hasn’t spend all that much time creating a website yet. I mean, blurb doesn’t exactly do his work justice! I figured I’d list Bootsy’s plug-ins on this page, alongside the links to download the latest versions. The page will be updated when new plug-ins/versions are released. MPReq is a vintage microphone preamp with two band fixed frequency program equalizer. True Component and Circuit Modeling. Re-drawing and designing original circuit carefully and emulated original fingerprint of gear with our technology. Carefully designed transformers and tubes. Fully emulated mic-amp and program eq from the 50’s. These days, all you need is a killer VST plugin along with some impulses to achieve stellar results. In some cases, you don’t even need impulses. If that wasn’t awesome enough, you can even get some great sounding VSTs for free. That’s what we’re going to be looking at in this guide – free guitar VST plugins that sound ultra-realistic. MPReq is a vintage microphone preamp that is emulated from 1950’s style tube amps. True component and circuit modeling gives you a fully emulated mic preamp, EQ, and gain control. Other features include: Two band boost and cut. Low band 100Hz and high band 12kHz. Available Format - Windows 32 & 64-bit VST.

Stomp Section
The Stomp section features 5 pedal slots, allowing you to choose between any combination of Dominator’s 10 included guitar pedals.
Optional FX Loop allows you to place any pedal in the effects loop of Dominator’s amp head, allowing the pedal to process the output signal of Dominator instead of the input signal.
Each pedal in the Stomp section can be automated, allowing for customization and flexibility!

Included Pedals
Boost: Adds a treble boost to the signal, controllable with one single knob!
Screamer: Based on a legendary green overdrive pedal, Screamer can be used as a clean treble boost or to add overdrive!
Compressor: A 4 parameter compressor designed to add sustain and attack to the incoming signal, or to manage the dynamics of the output when placed in the FX Loop.
Distortion: A two parameter distortion unit that takes you from mild overdrive to nasty fuzzy metal tones!
Chorus: A modulation monster that takes you anywhere from Classic Rock to Nu Metal and everywhere in between! The included mix knob allows you to fine tune just the right amount of the effect!
Tremolo: Not just for surf rock anymore, this Tremolo pedal will add movement and contrast to your tone!
Doubler: Not just a slight delay, this doubler splits the signal in two and changes the shape of one of them to create a convincing double tracked effect!
Delay: A flexible delay unit that is capable of adding depth and space to your tone!
Reverb: A sinfully simple, yet flexible reverb unit that is great for emulating small spaces or infinite drones!
Auto-Wah: A Wah pedal with character! Using the Sensitivity control to switch between Auto and Manual modes, and the resonance control to choose how strong the Wah effect will be! Rocking the pedal back and forth will change the pivot point in Auto mode, and will allow you to manually perform the Wah pedal using your mouse or a midi controller!

Cab Section:
The Cab section utilizes our virtual cab technology to deliver the feel and microdynamic movements of a real speaker in a real room! The virtual cabinet section features a virtual microphone that you can move to find the sweet spot and perfect your tone, and allows you to choose from 4 microphone and cabinet models! The included HP and LP filters help shape the output to fit perfectly in your mix. Use the Distance control to adjust the proximity of the microphone to the cabinet. The Cabinet menu also allows you to access Dominator’s built in IR loader, allowing you to use your own IR collection within Dominator!

Japanese 2×12: Based on a popular Japanese line of cabinets that deliver a big bottom end!
German 4×12: Based on a legendary German cab beloved in Rock & Metal for it’s midrange presence!

IR Cabinet:
Selecting “IR Cabinet” will change the Mic selector to an IR selector, allowing you to choose between 14 included custom cabinet IR’s.
“IR Cabinet” bypasses the virtual cabinet.
The folder icon to the right allows you access to the folder where the included IR’s are located, allowing you to add your own IR collection to the directory folder for use in Dominator.

Free Mic Signal Boost Vst Pedal

Free Clip is an intuitive multi algorithm soft clipper/wave shaper plugin, available as a Windows VST or mac Audio Unit. The plugin allows you to choose between a range of wave shapes or ‘sigmoid functions’, from the most transparent but harshest hard clip, to the ‘softest’ but most saturated arctangent shape. You can then intuitively set the ceiling level using the slider that perfectly matches the level meter next to it. Oversampling is also available to remove high frequency aliasing; when oversampling is on this does introduce peaks slightly over the ceiling level however, so if you intend to use this plugin with oversampling as the final plugin on the master chain, ensure the ceiling level is set appropriately and/or the post-oversampling clip setting is set.

This plugin is a great way to conveniently transparently boost volume without clipping your daw, whether it be an individual stem or sound effect, or an entire track that you made. It is recommended that the hardclip, quantic or cubic shape be used for mastering, as these introduce no or minimal saturation.

The plugin can be also used as a more traditional saturation/distortion plugin by setting a ‘softer’ wave shape, such as algebraic or arctangent – simply lower the ceiling level to provide more saturation to the signal – just remember to boost the output afterwards. Alternatively you can boost the input gain into the clipper for the same effect. In this case, increasing the oversampling value is helpful if you’re hearing high frequency aliasing! Be warned that high oversampling values such as 16 or 32 times can be very heavy on the CPU.
