| I use Izotope's Vinyl VST. It's free but it works really well. You can't control the speed of the stop though. But it is very realistic. It never used to work in Studio One because it was 32bit but it was updated in the last year or so to 64 bit and it works fine. You can automate it but you have to manually create an automation track and point it to the tape stop control on the Vinyl VST. It doesn't show up when you right click on it like most. Edit: I just tried this and it worked really well. You can also set tempo markers in Studio One in conjuction with the tape stop effect and adjust the timing of the stop that way. You have to make sure all of your audio tracks/clips have their File Tempo set to match the Song Tempo. Do this by right clicking on an audio clip. If you have multiples just select all and right click and you can change them all at the same time. Then at the top of where the track headers are in track view you will see an icon that looks like the face of a clock. Click that to open up the Tempo Track and you can cut it like a clip and drag it up and down to change the tempo of the project. This works really well in Studio One by the way. No audio artifacts that I've been able to detect. I just tried cutting the Tempo Track where I had the Vinyl VST tape stop effect applied in a Song and it worked like a charm. I was able to control how fast the tape stop effect was for that portion of the song. Hope this helps.
