Label the new folder as “Plug-ins”. Drag it into your Sidebar Favorites section to make it available as a shortcut there. Go to your VST plug-ins folder. Right click on each plugin you want and choose “Create shortcut” (multi-selection works too). Move these shortcuts to your new folder, and create sub-folders to organize. But, I've noticed that Cakewalk is also installing a lot of VST plugins in two other folders: (c: program files Cakewalk shared utilities Internal and C: Program Files Cakewalk Shared Plugins). C: Program Files Common Files AmpliTube 4.vst3 I can't swear to it, but I don't recall seeing the file referred to in 1. On my file system until after I removed v4.03 and replaced it v4.02. I have tried solutions mentioned below, creating a new folder for vst's and also using the existing plug-in folder and then indicating in the settings the location of the folder for the vst plugins-neither seems to get lmms to recognize their existence. In the menu bar, click on Options and select Manage Plugins. The FL Studio Plugin Manager appears. Click on the folder symbol (+) to add a Plugin search path. Navigate to the folder containing your Native Instruments plug-ins and press OK.

Ensuring your DAW is using the correct plug-in location

Some DAWs have different default locations to scan for plugins. If you have installed a plugin (like Equator) and can’t seem to access it from your DAW, check the DAW’s settings to ensure that it is looking in the right folder. In some DAWs you can set additional folders to scan automatically.

• Go to Preferences > File Folder.
• Select the button Use VST Plug-In Custom Folders
• Click Browse by VST Plug-In Customer Folder
• In the window that opens, navigate to the folder where your VST plugin is located:

• Press Rescan to make Ableton find the VSTs in that folder and make them available in your project.
